1983 Terrytown 5th District Fire Dept. Plain Aluminum Mardi Gras Doubloon

Here's the
1983 Terrytown 5th District Fire Department Plain
Aluminum Doubloon.
The doubloon measures 39 mm or 1 1/2" in diameter and is in
Excellent Condition.
Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.
Note:  The obverse features the Terrytown Fire Dept. Logo.  The reverse features Two Fire Trucks and reads "TERRYTOWN VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT...1983."
The Terrytown Volunteer Fire Department occasionally rode in New Orleans Area Mardi Gras Parades.  The Fire Company typically lead the Parade to insure proper clearance for the Parade Floats and again followed up at the end of the Parade.  Occasionally, these small Groups would have doubloons made and toss them every now and again to an eager parade spectator along the parade route.  These were issued in very limited number and are quite rare and hard to find these days.  This doubloon
is much nicer than it appears in the photos and in Pristine Condition.
(Unless specifically described as 'toning' and Gold, Green, Purple or Blue Hues seen on any item are the reflection of a Mardi Gras Banner which hangs above my desk.)
