    ARTIFACT:
    This is a Portsmouth Fire Department annual parade ribbon from September 4, 1913. The blue ribbon has a bar at top reading W. J. SAMPSON LADDER NO. 1 and a medallion hanging from a red, white and blue ribbon with a fireman’s photograph.
    VINTAGE:
    Circa 1913.
    SIZE:
    7-7/8” in height and 2-13/16” in width.
    CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
    Gold-painted aluminum, celluloid, silk ribbon.
    ATTACHMENT:
    Horizontal safety-style pin.
